itContracting are currently seeking applicants for a Project Manager. This is a daily-rate contract position located with our client in Dublin. Hybrid working options available.
Role Purpose

Job Description:

  • Planning and managing client change projects to deliver agreed business capabilities and benefits within the overall change budget.
  • Ensuring business case objectives are clear and met – delivering projects within the specified constraints.

Responsibilities:
Project Management

  • Manage the full spectrum of project delivery disciplines including:
    • Scoping
    • Business Case development
    • Stakeholder Impact Assessment
    • Planning
    • Development of Requirements
    • Design
    • Build
    • Test (SIT and UAT)
    • Business Readiness
    • Deployment
    • Post-go-live support
    • Service Transition of change projects
  • Select and adapt the most appropriate delivery approach (Waterfall, SCRUM, Lean) to fit the project and environment.
  • Identify and track key milestones to ensure project delivery.
  • Communicate project status, issues, dependencies, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and escalate program risks, keeping projects on track.
  • Facilitate decision-making by identifying key stakeholders and providing necessary information.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate communication and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and risk to produce the specified product, service, or result.
  • Ensure change readiness of the client organization.
  • Support the sponsor in project setup to ensure the business case is clearly defined and stakeholders are engaged.
  • Develop a detailed project plan at task level and manage project delivery in accordance with baseline parameters and standards.
  • Determine quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities to meet project requirements.
  • Manage projects in compliance with related methodologies and policies.

Core Technical Competencies

  • 7+ years Project Management experience, including large, complex, multi-location programs or projects.
  • Strong track record of delivering in an Agile environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-process technology solutions in a legacy IT environment.
  • Technology literate, with experience in managing system integration projects.
  • Strong understanding of product and design, ideally with experience working with design or product teams.
  • Experience managing customer and vendor relationships in a matrixed management environment.
  • Scrum Master experience preferable.
  • Life insurance experience in the Irish market preferable.

Non-Technical Competencies

  • Self-starter with a track record of seamless execution on complex projects with minimal guidance.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with company leaders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent customer/relationship management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly analytical mindset.
  • Ability to challenge team members and stakeholders appropriately.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical reasoning capabilities.
  • Demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and flexible approach; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Confidence in applying judgment based on experience.
